Did you know that over the past few years all the money raised by the PTFA goes directly to the school to help enrich the education of it’s pupils?
Last year the money raised through PTFA events helped to subsidise school trips or visitors for each class and purchased 2 MacBooks for each classroom.
This year aswell as retaining the subsidising of school trips and visitors (roughly £200 per class), the PTFA are fundraising for Numicon Maths equipment to help enhance the teaching of Maths throughout the school.
We aim to raise £800 in order to cover the costs of the maths equipment which is based on a proven concrete-pictorial abstract approach to encourage children to explore maths using structured imagery and apparatus. This method helps children to understand mathematical concepts and increase confidence in problem solving while supporting teaching methods.
In 2018/19 we are aiming to raise £8k
